Scottish Rural Action represents the views of rural Scotland at a European level through the European Rural Parliament (ERP) and is calling for evidence on rural services and infrastructure to feed into the European-wide view.

Scottish Rural Action participated in the first and second European Rural Parliament in 2013 and 2015. The next European Rural Parliament takes place this year in Venhorst, Netherlands. The Manifesto produced by the ERP in 2015 can be viewed by clicking here.
We have chosen to progress the rural infrastructure and services section with partners including Action with Communities in Rural England (ACRE) who is the lead partner in this section. This section most closely aligns with the key concerns facing rural communities.
The first step is to identify the views of rural communities in regards to rural services and infrastructure, and ACRE have designed a survey for use in the UK.
We know roads, transport and broadband are key issues and we are keen to know what people think about other services too. It is essential our voices are heard at the European level, whatever the outcome of Brexit.
