
Celebrate Rural Exhibition Stands

An integral part of the very first Scottish Rural Parliament, convening from 6 – 8 November in Oban, will be an exciting and varied exhibition of everything which is important to and celebrates rural Scotland. The exhibition will be open on the 6th and 7th only.
The exhibition will be open to the general public, up to 400 Scottish Rural Parliament delegates, international guests, VIPs, press and decision-makers. It is an excellent opportunity for you to promote your own unique contribution or project to those who live, work or have an interest in rural Scotland.
Who can exhibit?
Any business or organisation based in rural Scotland or advancing the interests of rural Scotland can apply.
Registrations of interest are open until 30 September.
Spaces are limited so, if they are oversubscribed, then we will use the information you provide to ensure we have an eclectic spread of interests.
When and where is it?
The first Scottish Rural Parliament will be held in Oban, Argyll and Bute, from 6 – 8 November. The program starts at 09:00 on the Thursday and finishes at 14:00 on the Saturday. The exhibition space is at Corran Halls and will be open from 08:00 on Thu 6th until 17:00 on Fri 7th. The exhibition will not be open on Saturday.
How much will it cost?
A standard space will be 2m x 2m with table, 2 chairs and room for pop-up banners.
Costs are as follows:
Private companies – £500, which includes one person for dinner and entertainment on both Thursday and Friday nights.
Public sector – £450, including one person for dinner and entertainment on Thursday and Friday night.
Not for Profit (NFP) organisations with a turnover of over £1M – £350, which includes one participant place for the full event.
Not for Profit organisations turning over less than £1M – £200 including one participant place for the full event.
Local community organisations with a turnover under £1M (within Argyll & Bute local authority area) – Free.
Local businesses (within Argyll & Bute local authority area) – £100.
Smaller 1m x 1m spaces for up to 10 local organisations (within the local authority area of Argyll and Bute) will also be available at a lower cost, as follows:

Local businesses – £50.00
Lunch will be included on the Thursday and Friday for up to two people per stand. Additional lunch passes at £20.00 pp can be purchased at the time of confirming your booking.
When will I know if I have a place or not?
Successful organisations and businesses will be advised by Friday 10 October 2014.

You will need your contact details and we will ask whether you need electricity or not, any other requirements you have and what you will be promoting at the event e.g. information, advice. There will be a mixture of plenary sessions, workshops, visits to local projects, time to network, the exhibitions in the Market Place, entertainment from Skippinish and other performers and presentations.
