#ruralhour – communities leading with confidence
September 9, 2014 @ 9:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Our next #ruralhour is on Tuesday 9th September from 9-10pm on the subject of communities leading with confidence.
There are lots of opportunities for communities to take ownership and control of key assets and decisions.
Are these opportunities well supported? Available to all? How can we ensure all communities can take advantage of existing opportunities. Should there be more opportunities and what should they be?
Questions for tonight are:
9pm – Q1. Let us know you are out there by telling us where you are and what your main interest is? don’t forget #ruralhour!
9.05pm – Q2. What opportunities to lead has your community been successfully able to use – from effective community councils to community ownership? #ruralhour
9.15pm – Q3. What are the biggest barriers to leading that communities experience? What could be done to remove them? #ruralhour
9.25pm – Q4. Do community councils need additional support or powers, and if so what? #ruralhour
9.35pm – Q5. Do community ownership projects need additional support or opportunities, if so what and who from? #ruralhour
9.45pm – Q6. What actions could be taken and by whom to ensure ALL communities can lead with confidence? #ruralhour
9.55pm Q7. How do you or could you best engage your community in decision-making? #ruralhour
All of the #ruralhour discussions will contribute to the Scottish Rural Parliament debates in November 2014.
To find us on Twitter search for @ScotRuralParl. To take part, search for #ruralhour at 9pm on Tuesday 9th September and respond to the questions we pose, or conversations on the subject that other people start. Keep using #ruralhour and refresh your #ruralhour search to make sure you see what other people are saying. Ideally use A1 when you respond to Q1 so that we know what question you are replying to!
