We can now announce the release of our detailed Action Plan arising from the Scottish Rural Parliament which took place in Argyll in November 2014.
The Action Plan is the result of detailed work following the inaugural event and outlines the areas of work Scottish Rural Action and partners will take forward on behalf of rural communities in 2015-16.
We will be advocating on behalf of rural communities over issues including broadband, mobile signal, transport, enterprise, funding for community-led projects and local democratic reform.
John Hutchison Chair of Scottish Rural Action said “We are delighted to announce the release of our Action Plan for 2015-16 which will help to ensure that rural communities have the opportunities and services they need in order to be able to thrive.
“The Action Plan is the result of detailed consultation with partners over the most effective ways in which to progress the ambitions of rural communities.
“There will be many opportunities for rural communities to get involved and support our work starting at the Royal Highland Show later this month where we will be focusing on mobile and broadband provision.”
